Blizzard has released a new update for Overwatch 2, bringing the game’s combat mechanics to the latest iteration of the popular online shooter.
The update adds the ability to perform a full Overwatch double jump, as well as new weapon and armor skins.
A lot of players have complained about the game feeling slow in the new patch, but the Blizzard developer said that’s a bug.
“Our servers are getting very congested, and our servers are becoming very overloaded with requests for the new update, so we have to get to you as soon as possible to make sure that you’re enjoying the game as much as you can,” the Overwatch 2 developer wrote in the patch notes.
“Thank you for your patience.”
The update also brings a number of cosmetic changes to Overwatch 2.
A new skin called the “Frosty the Hunter” is now available for players to wear, and the game now features an “X-Men” skin called “Cerberus.”
For now, Blizzard has not confirmed if the update will include new skins for characters like Widowmaker or Reinhardt, which could have been in the works.
But Overwatch 2 players can look forward to seeing some of these characters in action later this year, with a potential return to the original game sometime in early 2018.
